About AIC

Our Mission

Our goal for AIC is to ensure all students, whether you're studying computer science or not, to learn about and practice skills in artificial intelligence outside of the classroom and expand upon the growing AI programs offered by the University of Michigan - Dearborn.

Hands-on Approach

Through having multiple project groups each semester/year, our executive board has hand-picked artificial intelligence projects that span across all difficulty levels. The goal? Allow anyone and everyone to learn and increase their skills, whether you have years of experience or wrote your first "Hello, World!" program last week.

Teaching You the Way

To help teach you, the student, we hold workshops focused on sharpening your coding skills in order to boost your confidence and skillset when tackling the challenges of AI. We plan on hosting workshops for Python, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Data Preprocessing, and more in order to prepare you for both our own projects and the industry in general.

Bringing Together Everyone

You don't have to be a CECS major to join AIC! Our goal is to allow all students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of artificial intelligence, whether you have coding experience or not. Not interested in coding? You can assist us in writing and publishing our monthly newsletter, helpnig us create promotional materials, and more!

Hear from Experts and Leaders

We plan on inviting guest speakers from both academic settings and the industry at large to gain insight on AI and the world around us. Additionally, we plan on hosting professional development events such as resume workshops and headshot photoshoots.
